5Highly entertaining zombie romp  Feb 26, 2010
I've seen enough 'serious' horror/zombie movies, so this one was a real treat. The cast of actors and the plot is great. Rather than a cliched, stereotypical 'hunky guy saves cute girl from the zombies', with 'good always prevails over evil', this is a funny and refreshing take. Yes, there's a guy, and a girl, and he tries to save her, but it is in no way old or contrived. There's also lots of funny bits, like when Shaun is leading his group through the backyards, and passes another group which is similar to his in personality/body types, and all say 'hi' to the other as they pass by, or the group trying to fit in with the zombies (and actually managing to do so!)

I also like the camera work and action (also seen in 'Hot Fuzz'), and felt it was very creative. There's some nice and sentimental bits in here, like Shaun and his stepdad. Overall, this is a great movie to watch with friends, and the ending will have you in stitches, it's simply too funny and quirky to forget, and really fit in with the rest of the movie. 4.5/5 stars for a great zombie movie!

5LOVELY  Feb 24, 2010
This is one of those movies like Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, Kubrick's Shining, and Fargo that just get better and better! I can't get enough of this movie Not just for zombie fans and I own tons of zombie movies.

5Best Zombie Comedy!  Feb 09, 2010
I've never been a fan of zombie movies. This one certainly is the exception.

Shaun of the Dead is laugh-out-loud funny, not afraid to poke fun at the genre, or itself.

Be warned, there's a bit of gore, and while it didn't bother me, it did bother my parents (who are not usually squeamish)

I especially love watching this and Hot Fuzz (Widescreen Edition) back to back. There are some great nods in Hot Fuzz to Shaun of the Dead.

5FLAT OUT HILARIOUS  Feb 06, 2010
I'm not a huge fan of zombie movies, but this comic spin on the genre is simply delicious. Shaun ( Simon Pegg ) is a dead-ender who is so awesomely oblivious to everything around him, including his girlfriend ( until she leaves him ), that it is surprising that the zombies shuffling about even notice that he's alive. Shuan, and his horribly, flatulant friend Ed ( Nick Frost as the ultimate degenerate, slacker ) become the most unlikely saviors of London ever, exhibiting by turns, density far beyond that of lead, excellent use of a cricket paddle, and a salient ineptitude that is truly mind-blowing in its intensity. SHAUN OF THE DEAD is loads of fun from beginning to end, with not a dull moment to be had.

5Perfec!  Jan 29, 2010
Nope not a misspelling see the special features. If you have the DvD you'll love this version.
