5Good Movie :)  Aug 13, 2008
This is a very cute movie. Its very real with a feel good ending (well, mostly) and definitely worth seeing.

3Dissapointing  Aug 13, 2008
I'm a big Keri Russell fan but this film was really dissapointing. It's too bad because it was a good idea, there just was no good dialogue, drama, screenplay or intensity of any kind. Granted it's not supposed to be an intense movie but rather more of a "feel good" uplifting, family type film. But it really was none of those either. The lack of thematic continuity, good dialogue and dramatic story line just make this film fail big time. Sorry Keri! August Rush was better than this but it had it's flaws as well. A good Keri Russell film is ironically one produced not for theaters but for television called "The Lottery"; that's worth seeing, Waitress however is just barely worth seeing.

1Waste of time!  Aug 11, 2008
How is it that so many people gave this boring loser of a movie 5 stars!! One star is half a star too many! Listening to Kerri Russell's fake southern accent go in and out was painful...as was watching her character be so responsive to her abusive husband. The only entertaining part was her playful banter with Andy Griffith. Otherwise the movie is terrible, and a complete waste of time. Save it for a better movie!

4This movie is just adorable... and it made me start craving pie.  Aug 11, 2008
This movie is just adorable... and it made me start craving pie.

Keri Russell is pitch-perfect as the unhappily married, unhappily pregnant waitress who just wants to bake delicious pies and get far away from her obnoxious, abusive husband. Its very seldom that a movie can be "uplifting" and "heartwarming" and still show genuine people living their lives making believable mistakes and celebrating their little victories.
Never too sweet, never too cloying, just the right mix of warm and realistic with just a pinch of fairy-tale ending.

3MORE LIKE A TV MOVIE THAN AN INDEPENDANT FILM 2 1/2 STARS!  Jul 13, 2008
Watching this film felt like déjà vu, it reminded me of a superior film called 'The Prize Winner Of Defiance Ohio' released a couple of years ago. The film is easy enough to watch, but most of the characters are "cookie cutter" with no real depth to them. It's an OK watch though with good performances by Griffith and Russell.
